2024-2025 Kids' History Essay Competition

"In line with our mission to ensure all African children are deeply rooted in the knowledge and appreciation of Africa's rich historical and cultural heritage, we are excited to announce the 4th edition of our annual Kid's History Essay Competition.

For the 2024/2025 competition, we invite children to write and submit an essay exploring the topic:

"Has Africa's natural resource wealth been a net positive influence on the evolution of African societies and economies?"

We encourage our young participants to investigate and reflect on how Africa's vast natural resources have shaped the continent's historical trajectory, societal evolution, and economic development. We hope to see thoughtful essays that explore both the benefits and challenges associated with Africa’s resource wealth and its impact on their vision for the continent’s future.
